V/A Bleargh! - The Record (+download)

Fastest, craziest, biggest compilation of bands fucking ever slapped onto a 7". I'm pretty sure this thing has 70+ bands on this. One of the greatest Power-violence compilations out there. If I remember correctly, this was a trilogy of comps. There was this, then Son of Bleargh! and then Bleargh! Music At War. I think I uploaded the other two, if I did, I'll include them in this post too. Awesome album for fans of power violence.

The Party of Helicopters - The Terror Continues (+download)

I feel as though I've neglected these guys the past months. I rarely listen to them anymore, but these guys are an amazing band. I've never really heard anything like them, just the sound is so, different than what you usually here. The full title of this is "The Terror Continues 1995-2004 Demo", so in short, these are all demos from that time-span, I'd assume heh. I myself, do happen to favor The Man I Fell In Love With (formed by members of Party of Helicopters), but these guys will always have a place in my heart. For fans of Harriet the Spy, Engine Down, Braid, etc.

The Khayembii Communique - Discography (+download)

Quite possibly the most emotional screamo band to ever exist. I find the first track to be a bit weak, but the whole set is overall pretty fucking amazing. From what I'm aware of, they only released two things. The split with the Vida Blue and their Self-titled 7". The split is somewhat easy to find, you can probably find it for pretty cheap. But, the S/T is a gem of the "skramz" 90's, it fetches from anywhere of $30-50, I would love to get this myself, but I doubt I'd be ever willing to spend that much on a 7''. For fans of any screamo.

Monster Movie - Last Night Something Happened (+download)

My favorite shoegaze record to date, and one of my favorite albums that I own. I don't really have too much to say about this aside from the fact that this record totally rules. Definitely for fans of any shoegaze.

Magnetic Fields - Holiday (+download)

Oh man, I guess you could say this is somewhat a guilty pleasure of mine, but I love this album with all my heart. Hailing from Massachusett, The Magnetic Fields are a synth-pop band from the 90's but had an 80's "style" I guess you could say. I'm not entirely sure who to recommend this to, because I know many-a people whom are fans of totally odd genres that really dig this album. So I say to give this album a good listen, I don't think you'll regret it, but who knows!

Animal Collective - Campfire Songs (+download)

From what I've seen, not too many people can find downloads of this album, which is why it was my biggest hit on my original blog, being that it had the most downloads out of my uploads. And, from what I've heard, I guess this album was actually recorded in one of the band members back yard's, wouldn't doubt it either. The tracks are overall kind of boring, but I find that it's some of my favorite of Animal Collective's. The vocals have a haunting atmosphere and the twangy acoustic guitar to back it up makes for a calming, delightful listen.

Algernon Cadwallader - Hot Green (+download)

I feel bad for uploading this, being that it hasn't even been released yet. But I hope from people downloading this that they actually will purchase it when it gets released. Algernon Cadwallader is without a doubt, one of, if not my favorite band of this century. No doubt, influenced by Cap'n Jazz, but I find that the melodic guitar seems to upstage what Cap'n Jazz did. Sure, Cap'n Jazz is one of the most popular Kinsella-related and "emo"(using this term lightly) bands out there, I find that Algernon has a better, happier feel to it. Definitely give a listen if you're into Street Smart Cyclist, Cap'n Jazz, Bridge and Tunnel, you know all that stuff. So bummed I missed seeing these guys when they played at the Rudich Ranch near me. Oh well, I'll see them some day.

Boilermaker - 11 songs (+download)

These guys have to be one of my top emo/indie bands out there. They lasted from '93 until the early 00's I believe. Coming from the 90's when there were tons of fantastic bands going around, they definitely had the sound of Mineral, Braid, and those sorts of bands. But these guys had a bit of a different sound, the vocals were much more powerful than what I've heard from the other bands. Though, they never became as big as the other indie/emo bands, their albums still fetch some good cash online. I just bought this album on vinyl for $25, it's the most I've spent on an lp, heh.
